Rove Promotes Trump (Unintentionally)
For those of you who have forgotten (or chosen not to remember), Karl Rove is a Republican political operative who earned the nickname “The Architect” for being in the right place at the right time. Recently, Rove was a guest on Greta Van Susteren’s show. Karl proclaimed that because of Donald Trump’s refusal to ignore the importance of Obama’s place of birth, Donald is nothing more than a “Joke” of a candidate. He continued to say that if Donald wouldn’t have acknowledged the curious facts behind the Obama-birth issue that he would have added to the political conversation in this upcoming political season.
While I do not think that Donald would win the White House (at this time), I do see some ignorance on behalf of Rove and what he is doing is actually promoting Donald, the very thing Karl is against.
Since stating there are questions regarding Obama’s birth, Donald has actually gone up in the polls. Matter of fact, he is the leading contender in most polls and he hasn’t even announced if he is running yet.
What Karl Rove fails to see is that the “birther” issue is only an issue to liberals who want Obama re-elected and Republicans who don’t understand what voters are looking for. Most voters don’t care if Donald is a “birther” because they understand the obvious; Obama is already in the White House. What voters care about is getting him out and doing so with someone who is willing to take a stand.
China, international standing, economic recovery, recovery of freedom lost to politicians, and other issues the “establishment” doesn’t hold their ground on is why Donald is polling so high. His ability to take a political stance without trying to play to the political machine is gaining him the respect that Obama once thought he would have for himself, yet has failed miserably to achieve.
Mr. Rove needs to realize that the days of the strictly economically conservative Republican is over. People are rejecting the CFR, freedom pimping, two sides of the same coin system which only naive Republicans would still believe in. At the same time logically thinking Democrats are waking up to the habitual abuse placed on the country by their party as well. This leaves Donald (Palin, Paul, and Cain) in a wonderful position to be the candidate for the vast majority who have awoken to the fact that freedom and sovereignty are at stake.
Truth of the matter is that Rove has lost political relevance and it doesn’t matter if Trump wins, or even runs. Donald has shown the country that there are options. Gone are the days when the public is left with the Karl Rove/James Carville system where we must choose between the lesser of two evils. It opens the door for other people, who may have doubted at one point, to enter the political mess and know they can make an impact. While it might not change right away, it plants a seed that cannot be destroyed; the seed of potential, the seed of freedom regained, the seed of knowing non-politicians can de-throne the establishment.
As for Donald, I don’t know if he has yet achieved a place in the voters’ hearts to win the vote, but he has not yet officially made the announcement. He certainly needs t explain his political donations over the past few years, but the media will be shocked if and when he makes it official as they will see that Trump not only will continue to be a leader in the field of Republicans but he will also bring the majority of independents and a large number of Democrats who realize Trump offers them solutions that Obama can’t (see the article Trump Card).
Trump/Palin, Trump/Cain, and even Trump/Huckabee (or any reorganization thereof) would be formidable tickets come November 2012.
Publicity stunt or legitimate intentions on Donald’s part is yet to be seen. As for Karl Rove, his irrelevance is so profound to the freedom loving “new” Republicans that whomever Rove rejects is sure to gain ten points. Now if only we could see Karl come out in favor of Obama or Romney.
Author’s Note: This is NOT an endorsement of Trump in any way, shape, or form. Just a look at the poor strategic thinking on behalf of the GOP establishment as to why they are getting their hat handed to them by Trump in the polls.
