Hispanic Vote: Why Liberals Will Promise but Never Deliver Amnesty

Coming into another election cycle the pundits are weighing in on which potential candidate will secure segments of the voter base.  As a nation with a large number of Hispanic voters, that voting base is obviously a topic of discussion.  The discussion always stems around the boarder, securing the boarder, illegal immigrants, and the “A” word…Amnesty.

The liberal leaning politicians, mainly found in the Democrat party, have enjoyed great success with this segment of the voter base.  The reason for that success is simple; the majority of conservative leaning politicians tend to support a secure boarder and the denial of amnesty.

By leaving the idea of amnesty on the table, the Democrat Party gets to speak right to the hearts of millions of Hispanic voters, their families, and friends.  Obviously, it is understandable that if you are in this country illegally or have loved ones who are, amnesty would be a welcomed gift.  Regardless of which side you fall on regarding this issue, it is still understandable why that issue is so important to so many.  However, what the Hispanic population needs to realize is, the worst mistake the liberal politicians could make, from their liberal perspective, is to make amnesty an actuality.

The reason is quite simple: Right now the Hispanic vote trends towards those who whisper amnesty.  If amnesty is given, we have to look at other reasons why Hispanics would continue to vote liberal.

Abortion: This is a conservative issue and Hispanics have done a much better job holding on to family and moral issues as a whole than other voting blocks. This issue alone would make the Hispanic vote trend conservative.

Welfare: Hispanic people are a proud people with hard work in their blood.  As hard workers, they have proven time and again that they, in general, are not long term dependents on the welfare system, a system promoted by liberal leaning politicians.  You cannot buy the Hispanic vote with welfare as they will not sell their future and their dreams for their children for some long term government cheese.

Small Business:  America only survives if socialism dies and entrepreneurship thrives.  The Hispanic people, like all peoples, have entrepreneurship in their blood.  With the tendency for liberal politicians to vote for things that take jobs and resources overseas, this issue would make Hispanic voters, who no longer need to worry about amnesty, vote for generally conservative politicians.

Religious Freedom:  The Hispanic people, Catholic or otherwise, hold their souls as a valuable piece of who they are.  They are wise to the fact that it is most generally the liberal politicians who are working tirelessly to prevent people from worshiping publicly and privately.

Healthy Food and Clean Water:  Countries such as Mexico in North America and other countries in Central and South America have rejected America’s use of GMO food.  They value their health and the health of their children, so when someone like President Obama promotes GMO foods, the companies that push the issue, and even appoints to his cabinet people who come from these companies who value profit over people, it is obvious to see why the liberal side of the political spectrum would see the Hispanic vote leave their parties if amnesty was ever to be granted.

If amnesty was that important to the liberal leaning politicians, there was nothing stopping it from happening in 2009 and 2010.  Hispanics know this and are starting to see that these people who whisper amnesty and had the opportunity to deliver are just playing these great people for fools.

By always talking about amnesty, it has been keeping the Hispanic vote from really taking a look at the issues and who really supports them.  The day amnesty is no longer a carrot to dangle in front of the hungry people; the people will have the ability to realize the liberal politicians have nothing of value to offer.

Now, don’t be ignorant and think just because a politician isn’t liberal, or just because they might have an ( R ) after their name that they are someone to be voted for.  My advice to Hispanic voters (and this has already begun) is to wake up to the same truths that all voters are waking up to, and that is the political system, as it stands now, is not one “of the people, for the people, and by the people.”  Seek out the truth on issues, don’t believe mass lies, and vote for men and women who truly have a soul and a heart to serve the people they represent.  If you do that, we still may vote for different people, but we won’t be voting for people who will hurt one of us to the detriment of the other.

The Democrat/Republican “one party” establishment has been using the Hispanic voters as prostitutes that they don’t have to pay once they have what they want, and those days are coming to an end.  The “I will love you if you vote for me” line isn’t going to pick anyone up anymore.

Finally, and this has to be said because it is so rare that people don’t understand it can be done, this is not an endorsement of the Republican Party!  The goal is to educate, motivate, lead, and defend the people and that means defending them from evil doers regardless of political party.  It just so happens that in regards to amnesty, that tool of abuse has been wielded primarily by the liberal side of the coin.

A neo-con is a neo-lib, the only difference is which one wears the rojo underwear and which the azul.
